The dust has settled after the ballot, and we are soon entering November. We hope many of you are planning which races will be on your calendar for 2025. We encourage you to find a small or big adventure for 2025.

An update from the Norseman office

Five days ago, we participated in a yearly charity fundraiser by the Norwegian national broadcaster NRK. The funds raised will enable the Norwegian Childhood Cancer Society to establish family housing near university hospitals in major cities in Norway. These homes will allow seriously ill children to stay with their families during treatment, ensuring siblings are cared for and allowing families to create positive memories during a difficult time.

The auction for the start lot ended at an amazingly 131,000 NOK (11,000 Euros).
The runner-up in the auction also tried to bid 131,000 NOK but with no success due to technical problems.

Therefore, we decided to give one more slot so the Norwegian Childhood Cancer Society can receive 262,000 NOK (22,000 Euros) instead.

We are humble and grateful that we can use our event to help seriously ill children and their families in a hopeless situation.

#teamZalaris are recruiting athletes for Norseman 2025

To qualify for a spot on #teamZalaris, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:

  • Fundraising: Raise €7,500 to support cancer charities such as Aktiv Against Cancer, 5K Your Way, or the Kitz Hopp Children's Cancer Center. We’re also open to supporting other cancer-related charities in your country of residence. The total amount must be raised at least one week before the race.
     

  • Be an Ambassador: Actively represent #teamZalaris by posting regularly (at least once a week) about the event and your journey on social media, attending monthly #teamZalaris meetings, and proudly wearing Zalaris-branded race gear.
     

  • Training Commitment: Be dedicated to training and preparing for the race.
     

  • Personal Expenses: Cover your own travel, accommodation, and race registration fees.

MyXTRI FORMOSA Global 2024 - 4 x Norseman slots
Due to an earthquake, which means the Formosa mountain road is currently unusable, XTRI World Tour has created a virtual event where you can win four Norseman slots and earn X-Points. The virtual event starts on Saturday, October 26 and lasts until November 24. You can join for 1,2,3 or all 4 weeks. XTRI World Tour will draw 1 Norseman slot each week among those who have completed and reported a minimum of 12 hours of activity.
